A paired Xbox One controller can be used to play any game that supports controllers on the Mac, whether that’s popular titles like Fortnite, or Apple Arcade games, or many others. The Microsoft Xbox One S and Xbox One X controllers are great controllers to play with and very popular with gamers in general, and now it’s easier than ever to. If you have game pass ultimate you can play through xcloud streaming through the web browser but try with a trial first to see how well it works on your internet (and if it’s available in your region at all). You don’t need a console but would need a Bluetooth controller. Any game listed as available on game pass cloud you’re good to play. Technically, you can, but you have to use Bootcamp to run Windows 10. If you're using a computer, you can only use Windows 10 Edition to play with the other compatible platforms (Pocket Edition, Gear VR Edition, Fire TV Edition, and Xbox One Edition). If you only want to use MacOS, then you're only able to play.

Pair a controller to your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac
- Press the Xbox button to turn on your controller.
- Press and hold the Connect button for a few seconds to put your controller into pairing mode.

If your controller doesn’t connect or work as expected
Play Xbox Games On Mac
- Unpair it, then pair it again. If you still can't pair or connect, get help pairing your Bluetooth accessory to your iOS device.
- Make sure that you're not trying to connect too many Bluetooth accessories at once. Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD support up to two of the same kind of controller at once, or one controller with a combination of Bluetooth audio devices. Other controller and audio Bluetooth limits vary by device.
- Check that the firmware on your controller is up to date.
- Some controller functions aren't supported when paired with an Apple device, including the controller's audio jack. Contact Apple Support for more details.
